Kilt

Kilt is an innovative modular sump system designed to transform even the most common plastic pot into an unexpected design object. Custom-made to fit the size of the existing pot, the outer casing completely surrounds the pot, leaving it resting on the ground. The top crown, which can be ordered as an option, covers the pot underneath and acts as a support for a bed of expanded clay or lapilli, providing an aesthetic result comparable to the Cube planter. Kilt is ideal for large plants residing in heavy pots, as well as for temporary or seasonal installations. When mounted on top of topsoil, since it has no bottom, Kilt also serves as a container for the plant’s soil, allowing the roots to penetrate into the underlying soil as well. Kilt can be square and rectangular in shape, or even round with vertical slats upon request.
